Reserving judgments is a matter of infinite hope.

Thursday 3rd September

Doors: 6:45 pm

Screening: 8:00 pm

£50 gala event

From Baz Luhrmann, director of Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge, comes The Great Gatsby, a lavish adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel. Join us in the grandeur of Middle Temple Gardens and prepare to be transported for a gala screening of this glamorous visual feast, with a delicious hot meal and two fancy cocktails included…

We are in Long Island. It’s 1922. Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) is our narrator. He moves next door to the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) and becomes drawn into the captivating world of the wealthy. The whirlwind of parties and hidden agendas eventually conspire against the characters to lead their fates down a much darker path.

This visual spectacular will no doubt delight. Luhrmann doesn’t disappoint, giving us the usual feast for the eyes we have come to expect from him over the years. An ensemble cast, including Carey Mulligan, bring this larger than life adaptation to the big screen.

Tickets to this very special gala screening include a delicious burger (vegetarian option available), two salads and two fancy cocktails:

Angus beef burger with lettuce and tomato served in a brioche bun
Or
Panko crusted parmesan and sauteed leek burger with tomato chutney, served in a brioche bun (v)
