plenty of opportunities to
get involved in productions at the theatre; either on-stage or providing
invaluable support behind the scenes!

Apart from putting on shows in their main auditorium and in the smaller
studio space, the Nomads offer experienced and inexperienced members
the chance to learn about all aspects of theatre, through workshops
and talks and also through weekend training courses run by The Little
Theatre Guild.

Participants in
any Nomad show need to register as members.
Members receive
the monthly Nomad newsletter and mailing (which lists the month's
activities)
and also get priority booking for all Nomad shows.

This invaluable team meet at 8pm on Tuesday evenings at the theatre to
work on stage sets for the latest shows. They are always pleased to receive
offers of help from people of all abilities - especially those with a
flare for painting and large-scale woodwork projects!

The Young Nomads |

Behind
the scenes |
The Young Nomads are a friendly group (aged 15 - 25) who meet at the theatre
at 7:30pm on Friday evenings for a variety of workshops and drama-based
activities. They produce two shows each year; a spring production and
one big summer musical. They also have the opportunity to audition for
parts in the pantomime and other Main Theatre productions.
Membership is £8.00
for the year.

There are always lots of opportunities to help behind the scenes of the
many productions, including; props, costumes, lighting, sound, set construction
and general backstage activity during performances.
Whether you have experience or not, the Nomads

The Nomes |

Greenroom |
The Nomes is a drama group for children aged 7-15, led by qualified drama
tutors. They produce two shows each year and also have the opportunity
to take the younger parts in the pantomime and other Nomad shows.
The organisers are pleased to announce that, from the start of the new
term, there will now be more workshops available to young drama enthusiasts;
The autumn series
of workshops will begin on Saturday 14th September.

The Nomad Playgoers and Greenroom Club runs the theatre bar. For licensing
reasons, any non-Nomads attending Nomad shows can only do so by becoming
members of this club. The annual fee is 25p (running from June 1st of
each year). Names and addresses must be given to the Box Office on ordering
tickets, or at least 48 hours before the show.
