My Beautiful Laundrette (1985)
TICKETS ALSO AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ON THE DOOR
Stephen Frears beautiful comic drama is coming to Bermondsey as part of the Grosvenor Film Festival!
This classic Brit-film stars Gordon Warnecke as Omar, an ambitious Londoner who lives in a grotty flat south of the river with his formally successful, now alcoholic father. Fuelled by the big dreams promised by Thatcherism, Omar and his ex-skinhead lover Johnny (played brilliantly by Daniel Day-Lewis) strive for success, freedom and hope when they fix up Omar's uncle's rundown old laundromat. The story of two outsiders in modern London trying to make their mark is a must see for any Big Smoke resident.
We are offering a select number of Buy One Get One free tickets for this event. PLEASE NOTE: purchasing one ticket entitles you to entry for two people. Please review your basket before heading to the checkout!
