Singin’ in the Rain [1952]
Why am I smiling and why do I sing? Why does September seem sunny as spring?
Is there a better way to spend a summer’s evening than in the company of Gene Kelly, directing and performing in one of Hollywood’s most famous musicals? We think not. Set in Hollywood in 1927, this film takes a light-hearted look at Tinseltown’s transition from silent to talkies and how the film stars of the time coped with it. And bring your brollies. Don’t worry, it won’t rain (we almost promise), but the film does have that scene in it, one of cinema's all time classics!
Singin', tap dancin' and brolly twirlin' encouraged...
