Singin' in the Rain (1952)
I'm singin' in the rain! What a glorious feeling, I'm happy again!
Come join us in Coram Secret Garden for an evening full of laughs and fancy footwork, courtesy of Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds!
Is there a better way to spend a summer’s evening than in the company of Gene Kelly, directing and performing in one of Hollywood’s most famous musicals? We think not. Set in Hollywood in 1927, this film takes a light-hearted look at Tinseltown’s transition from silent to talkies and how the film stars of the time coped with it. Kelly plays Don Lockwood, a whipsmart actor looking for his next big picture to launch him right into the new cinematic era of sound! He's joined by Kathy Selden, a bright young chorus girl looking to make her own mark in Hollywood. Bring your brollies! Shine your galoshes! Don’t worry, it won’t rain (we almost promise). Get foot-loose and fancy free watching one of cinema's all time classics!
