Join us at Grosvenor Square for Damien Chazelle's jazz-soaked drama Whiplash. It was the talk of the town upon its release - and rightly so. Depicting the hardships of drummer, Andrew (Miles Teller) and his highly dysfunctional relationship with a tyrannical professor, Terence Fletcher (J.K. Simmons), this film grabs you by the scruff of your collar and refuses to let go.

Dealing in desire and ambition, Whiplash poses the question, "How far are you willing to go to achieve your dreams?". J.K. Simmons deservedly won both a BAFTA and an Oscar for his performance as Fletcher, a man fully of ferocity and virtuosity who is willing to push his students to any lengths to achieve his vision, no matter the cost. Whiplash is character drama at its finest. Riveting up until the final frame, you do not want to miss the film that had critics and audiences locked in a standing ovation.
