‘Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It’s fun to be a vampire.’
In director Joel Schumacher’s hit 80s teen horror, a divorced mum (Dianne Wiest) and her two sons (Jason Patric and Corey Haim) become involved with a local gang when they move into an offbeat Northern California seaside town. They soon discover that this gang has fangs. Kiefer Sutherland leads the leather-clad pack of bloodsucking bikers, displaying impressive amounts of both hair and eye-liner.
Redefining the vampire genre with its clever blend of cool and gore, the film was a pop-culture phenomenon when it was first released and has since developed enviable cult status.
