They had a date with fate in Casablanca!
No film has captured the minds and hearts of filmgoers quite like 1944's Oscar-winner for Best Film, Casablanca. Full of mystery, romance and intrigue, this is a film for sweethearts and roustabouts alike. Set during World War Two in the limbo city of Casablanca, Rick Blaine is a club owner running from his own broken heart and troubled past. When an old flame walks in seeking his help, Rick must wrestle with himself and the city's officials in order to do what's right. There's nothing to top the chemistry between Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in this wartime weepy - except maybe the exoticism of Casablanca itself.
Our lovely friends at Chestertons will again be providing free tea & coffee and the chance to win Avios points.
Before the film listen to Matthew VanKan cover the Great American Songbook including the catalogues of Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and many more iconic singers of that era - all the jazz and swing classics you know and love!
All tickets include a glass of Barefoot wine or a glass of Galvanina, an Italian fruit soft drink.
Please note: tickets include £20 (seated on the ground, feel free to bring along your own blankets, cushions etc) or £25 (seated in chairs).
Please also note: the film will be silent with Wi-Fi headsets provided.
To ensure your safety, all bags will be checked so do come early to enjoy the prescreening entertainment and avoid any delay in entering the square
