The Dark Knight [2008] 12A

The Night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming.

Wednesday 10th September

Doors: 6:45 pm

Screening: 7:45 pm

It looked like there was nowhere to go with the Batman franchise, and then Christopher Nolan popped up in 2005 with Batman Begins, and turned up the anger for 2008’s sequel The Dark Knight. Starring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, this brooding, vision of the caped crusader also features the late Heath Ledger in the final full acting role before his untimely death. His ferocious performance as The Joker arguably upstaged Bale's Batman and earned him a posthumous Best Supporting Actor Oscar. The cast also includes Michael Caine as the loyal Alfred, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart and indie beauty Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Join us as darkness falls on the incredible grounds of historic, eerie Brompton Cemetery, first opened in 1840. Just don’t feed the bats.

'You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.'
