Sashaying in the slipstream of Strictly Ballroom (Zippos Circus Finsbury Park - Sun 3 April), The Nomad presents another bright, brash splash of fabulous circus cinema from down under. Priscilla burst into mainstream consciousness in 1994, blitzing the box office and introducing audiences worldwide to the unique universe and joie de vivre of 3 wonderful drama queens, Mitzi, Felicia and Bernadette - brilliantly portrayed by (now) Hollywood heavyweights, Guy Pearce, Terence Stamp and Hugo Weaving.

Part-funded by the Australian Tourist Board, the film washes over you like some kind of vividly surreal, Stoli-induced waking dream advert for the Outback, combining gloriously rich landscape cinematography with way-over-the-top, sensational, Oscar-winning costumes.

The bright lights, rich aromas and suitably spangled, candy-striped canvas of the circus Big Top are our stage for the evening. Expect some especially fabulous hostesses, a healthily stocked minibar and plenty of opportunities to strut your stuff in front of the big screen. You’re all so beautiful.
