Amélie (Audrey Tautou) isn’t like other girls. She watched her goldfish disappear in a municipal swimming pool right before her very eyes, her mother died in Notre Dame Square, and her father dotes on a garden gnome. Now twenty-two, her hide-and-seek mission in Montmartre is to bring a little magic to other people’s lives. Amélie meets a lonely kook called Nino Quincampoix (Matthieu Kassovitz), and maybe it’s time for Amélie to get a taste of her own medicine.
