Almost 10 years to the day since its release. *Sigh*. Absolutely magical. Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s film will go down as one of the most beautifully shot films of all time; jam-packed with wonderful images, sequences and actors. We liked the gnome thing. Remember? So we’re inviting you tobring with you on the night, free of charge, your own gnome. And have your picture taken with him/her in our special Gnomatic Photobooth. And then, people, we propose to create the greatest Gnome Village that South London has ever seen. Accompanied of course by a swoony French soundtrack, some delicious French snackage courtesy ofAirstream Alfresco, and a warm welcome from our friendly Nomad Team, who will be wholeheartedly endorsing the benefits of the 35 hour working week.
Prior to that, we’re inviting you to copy Amelie and photoshop/cut and paste/or set up in real life a mildly amusing scenario featuring a gnome - then post in on the face book. The best 10 will then be paraded on-screen before the film on Thursday evening. Wahey. Furthermore, those 10 lovely winners will also receive, courtesy of those friendly gnomes at Momentum Pictures, available-for-the-first-time, Blu-ray copy ofAmelie. And as if that wasn’t enough, those winners also get Blu-ray copies of contemporary classics Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost In Translation, Control and Requiem For A Dream. Sheesh!
So get gnoming. And posting. See you Thursday…
Entrance and exit via the College Road gate at Dulwich Park. The event arena will be in front of the Pavillion Cafe. We love you Dulwich!
