TRUFFLE SHUFFFLLLE!! Good enough for you, it’s good enough for Dulwich Park; breathe in the spirit of The Goonies, as we bring you a one-night only cinema-under-the-stars reunion with Mikey, Chunk, Data, Mouth and the rest of the gang.

From an original story by Steven Spielberg, written by Chris Columbus (Gremlins, Adventures In Babysitting, Home Alone), directed by Richard Donner (Lethal Weapon, Superman), theme-tuned by Cyndi Lauper/Looper and starring Josh Brolin (who’d have thunk it?), Sean Astin (Hobbit), 80s superstars Corey Feldman and Martha Plimpton, The Goonies is a warm bath of mid-80s nostalgia, from a time when VHS was just overtaking Betamax, when childhood obesity was funny, when we were dumbfounded at how cool and ripe with adventure American suburbs were, when the Cold War was in technicolor and double-denim was a serious option. Ah, what a time. They used to love making these movies about the world of innocent-fun prepubescence being encroached upon by the big bad world of adults, real life and that pesky, stirring sexuality.

Everyone has an inner Goonie. Come along with an open mind and Dr Nomad and his chums will help set the little adventurer free.

Anyhoo, join The Goonies in Dulwich Park on their quest for One Eyed Willy’s (remember?) pirate gold, up against that mean old crime family gang, but ably asssisted by good old Superchunk. And if you fancy a full tour of duty at Dulwich Park, join us for The Wicker Man on 24 July and Amelie on 1 September. Bring wine, a picnic, a blanket and something warm to wear for after sunset…
