Ah, Ghostbusters is great. Stick a 1980s Bill Murray in anything and it’s always going to be great. The Murricane is joined by Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson as a team of parapsychologists-turned-paranormal-exterminators who bite off more than they can chew when the ghosts and ghoulies begin to overrun Manhattan. Ivan Reitman’s 1984 supernatural comedy has some of the best one-liners of the decade, some cracking special effects and has the added bonus of a giant marshmallow man destroying downtown New York.
Ghostbusters is a comedy. Ghostbusters is scary. Ghostbusters is sexy (well, Sigourney Weaver is sexy). Ghostbusters is a celebration of the New York City of the 1980s; a city of smog, grime, crime and, in this case, slime. So get yourself a couple of rolls of gaffer tape, your household hoover and strap that blighter to your back because the Nomad will be arriving in a genuine Ghostbusters mobile and if you’re lucky, we’ll let you ride shotgun.
Apart from the Ghostbusters mobile, we’ll have the shining, curvacious beacon of gastronomic and boozy indulgence that is Airstream Alfresco - our loyal travelling buddies. Make sure you get down early to have a look at both vehicles, as well as to cast an eye over the beauty of Priory Park and take in some prime 80s rock and pop, to get you into a fittingly nostalgic mood.
