Join us in the wonderful and unique setting of Opera Holland Park for three very special pop-up cinema events, on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of August. We kick off our weekend series of classic films under the canopy with Some Like It Hot - so dress to impress!
Normally home to top-drawer opera and theatre, this sensational venue opens its doors to The Nomad and to pop-up cinema for the very first time, and we’ve lined up some great classics for you to enjoy under the stars - each with its own unforgettable music! You’ll receive a warm welcome from our very own Daphne and Josephine (!), before being given the chance to pull on some similarly wonderful get-up to pose as them in front of our specially designed photoset, courtesy of the brilliant Photobooth Out Of Order. The Nomad Jazz Ensemble will be performing live in the bar area, playing a selection of jazz standards from the movies, including Summer Wind, Our Love Is Here To Stay and My Heart Belongs to Daddy. Bring your picnics and blankets and enjoy the music, before we invite you to take your seats for the finest screwball comedy of all time, directed by the great Billy Wilder and starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and, of course, Marilyn Monroe.
Feel free to bring your own picnic or enjoy the onsite food and drink. If you’d like to book your own picnic table before the performance, please call the Opera Holland Park Box Office on 0300 999 1000, where you can both buy your tickets and reserve your picnic table at the same time.
Tickets for these splendid events only £8.50 - £18.50
